As I was away for the Cream Tea last year, I was pleased to go on Saturday, 21st June. Our Quaker friends were in the Longhurst Room, so the Women’s Church Council had to improvise and use the Crêche as the kitchen. They managed beautifully, and those who were able to attend enjoyed themselves immensely.
I spoke to some of the Quakers as they were leaving and asked if we had disturbed them. “Not at all,” was the reply. “There was just a nice contented buzz in the background.”
£140 was raised for the Church Development Fund.
