Lily Moody died early on the morning of Friday, 24th Octo
ber. We offer our sympathy to the family. We will always remember her for her indomitable cheerfulness, despite her many problems.
The news of Phemie is encouraging – to have a break from hospital appointments and treatments must indeed be welcome. We are all so pleased for you, Phemie.
Alan had the last of his chemotherapy in the middle of October; a CT scan was done last week, and we hope that when he sees the doctor next he will have positive and encouraging news.
It has been good to have both Joe and Phyl with us for Morning Worship recently. Phyl isn’t feeling on top form by any means – some days are better than others. Joe was back on duty one Sunday, welcoming folks as usual!
We were pleased to welcome Sheila Carpenter back last week, playing the organ. It was great to have her.
Congratulations to Colin, who celebrated his 70th birthday on 20th October.
We remember Lynne, Marjorie, and Sonia, and Dorothy and Frank with our prayers and love, as indeed we do for all mentioned above.
We wish Pat a good time in Canada as she joins her mother for a ‘Special Birthday’. May they enjoy their time together.
Congratulations to Colin, who recently celebrated his 70th birthday with a cake at the Ewell church after one evening service there.

The glass in the front door of the Bible case was recently broken, when it withstood two blows from, apparently, a hammer.

George managed to get the glass replaced at a reasonable price, but why do people do things like this? Had we known somebody was so keen to have a bible we would have willingly given them one!
It was good to see Gwyneth's sister, Joan, at the Coffee Morning held in aid of the Alzheimer's Society on 11th October.
