Remembrance Day
The Mayor, Cllr. Alan Winkworth, and Members of the Council will be supporting the Royal British Legion in the nationwide observance of the Two Minute Silence at 11 am on Tuesday 11th November 2008. The Civic Party will process from the Town Hall to the Clock Tower at 10.50 am for a short ceremony which will end with the firing of a maroon at 11.02 am. It will be arranged that all the traffic in the Market Place will be brought to a halt for the Silence.
