Garden Party

Thank you to everyone who turned out for the garden party at the manse on 9 August. It was, as you may remember, a very wet day, so we were unable to sit outside.

A total of about 30 people gathered in our sitting and dining rooms and in the conservatory/kitchen. I am amazed that people who see one another nearly every Sunday and several times during the week can find so much to talk about!

Thanks to Rosemary and Val for making the tea and preparing the scones and generally making sure that people were looked after.

Just over £100.00 was raised, to contribute to the kidney unit at St. Thomas’ Children’s Hospital. Well done!
