12th Epsom Brownie Guide Pack
|
On 25th February the Brownies celebrated Thinking Day by hearing Cindi’s story and by playing a game similar to Snakes and Ladders but was like Cindi’s journey to school in Africa, and they also celebrated Shrove Tuesday by eating pancakes. The girls spent a couple of weeks earning their cook’s badge; the first week they made toast and tea or coffee for breakfast and learnt about kitchen safety, and the second week they each made a fruit salad and cleared away afterwards.
On 28th March three of the newest Brownies went snowdrop-picking at ‘The Durdans’. It was a lovely morning and we were very pleased to have their mothers and Gwyneth with us as well. We thank all the church members who helped us to raise £15.62 for the ‘Lest We Forget Association’.
On 18th March the girls made cards and decorated photograph frames, containing their own photograph for Mothering Sunday, and we were very pleased to have three girls at the Parade on Sunday, when the Brownies enjoyed giving out the daffodils.
Last Wednesday, 25th, the girls brought in games to play for the evening and at the end of the evening we had three enrolments.
