12th Epsom Brownie Guide Pack
|
When the Brownies returned after half term they enjoyed an evening of games: quoits and large versions of ‘Snakes and Ladders’ and ‘Ludo’.
The following week they all earned their Toymaker’s Badge by each making a puppet, a jig-saw puzzle and a flying butterfly.
After that we began preparations for Christmas, they have all decorated a ball, a walking toy and a hanging decoration and made a Christmas card, a Christmas cracker and a calendar for 2010.
For their last meeting before Christmas the Brownies went carol singing for an hour at Epsom Station for The Rainbow Trust and then walked back to the Longhurst Room to watch a DVD of Father Christmas and for some refreshments. They were each given a card and present and were reminded of the Toy Service Church Parade on 13th December at Ewell, which we hope as many as possible will attend. The Brownies will restart on Wednesday, 13th January 2010 at 5.45 p.m.
Unfortunately Katie Lardner, ‘Tawny Owl’, will be leaving us at half term in February. Unless I can find someone who will be willing to fill this position, I shall have to rely on their being at least two parents available each week. If this proves to be impossible there is a strong possibility that the Pack will have to close. If you know of anyone who would be at all interested please refer them to me as soon as possible.
Everyone at 12th Epsom Brownies wish you all a very happy Christmas and a peaceful New Year.
