The Lunch Club met recently at the North Star in Hook, another in the Ember Inn chain which has been good value – and this time some meals were on a 2-for-1 basis, making it even better value. There was rather a delay before we got served, but the conversation was good, and the food was first-class.
The next ‘third Thursday’ is 19th March. The feeling generally was that we should try a restaurant-type of establishment, so our scouts have been out selecting the venue for us to patronise. This month the selection is the Il Ponte, in the Derby Square near the Ebbisham Centre. This is an Italian restaurant, specialising in pasta and pizza, but also has a full menu. I'll try and find out some more details and post them here.
