Remembrance

RemembranceRemembrance Day Poppy

November is the month of Remembrance.  Remembrance Sunday is on 8th November, and elements of Remembrance will be incorporated into our Morning Service, starting as normal at 10:30.

As for the past couple of years, there will be no recognition at 3 p.m. of Remembrance Sunday at the War Memorial in Ashley Road. The normal wreaths will be laid at 09:30

On Wednesday, 11th November, at a few minutes before 11:00 a.m. the Mayor and Councillors will as usual be attending War Memorial tablet erected on the southern side of the Clock Tower. There will be a short service, and ‘Last Post’ and ‘Reveille’ will be sounded. This is a very public gathering which is very well attended. Be there if you can.
