12th Epsom Brownies Guides

Our new term began on Wednesday 9th September, when we were hoping to welcome a few Brownies from a Pack in Cheam that has recently had to close, but they have now decided that Epsom is too far to come.  We did have three new recruits, and a total of twelve girls attended.  For our first meeting of the term, we prepared for Grandparent’s Day with the girls making cards, chocolate truffles and boxes (for the chocolates).  The girls enjoyed scraping the bowls after making the truffles.

The following meeting fell on ‘Make a Hat’ day, and the girls had a lot of fun decorating their own baseball caps, which they modelled afterwards.

At our next meeting the Brownies began by each making a small loaf of bread, and with the approach of Harvest, they prepared and decorated eight boxes of harvest goods for the Harvest Festival; some of the girls also made gift cards to go with them.  Two of the Brownies have volunteered to read at the Harvest Festival.
