At our last meeting before the summer break our theme for the evening was ‘Desert Island’. The girls played a game of what they would like to take on a desert island and enjoyed making exotic cocktails to drink.
I went to visit the Brownies at their Pack Holiday at Oxted, and they were all having a wonderful time. The weather was fine on the day I visited, and after lunch we walked to the nearby adventure playground where the Brownies had a great time on the swings, climbing frames, slides etc.
Returning from the playground, the girls had another activity before dinner, some of them making windmills and trying them out. Some of the girls were on the rota to help prepare the evening meal this included slicing the carrots and mixing up the whips, plus, of course, the washing up afterwards.
Our new term begins on Wednesday 9th September, when we are hoping to welcome a few Brownies from a Pack in Cheam that has recently had to close.
