And Finally....

The autumn brings a busy round of meals with other people… but what do you say for grace? Here is a new ‘mini series’ on graces. Preb Michael Harding says: “Often a Grace is used at a secular event, e.g. a dining club. Humorous Graces can work on two levels: as a shared human amusement, but also with a statement of Christian gratitude overlaid - a laugh and/or an Amen.

“For apéritifs and appetisers, entrées and desserts,
for cheese and biscuits, coffee and mints,
 for Rennies, Bismag and Gaviscon
we thank you, Lord. Amen.”
