12th Epsom Brownie Guides
|
For the first two meetings in November the Brownies all aimed to earn their Toymaker badge: to do this the girls With Christmas on its way, the next two meetings were for preparing for this festival. Each girl decorated a fabric bag with fabricrayons, scratched out a Christmas tree decoration and a bracelet, made an Advent calendar, a calendar for 2011, a Christmas card and a cracker. This year we shall not be able to sing at Epsom Station because of the refurbishment. Instead, I have managed to get a permit for the Brownies to go carol singing in the Derby Square. We intend to sing Christmas songs and carols on Wednesday, 1st December from 5.30 p.m. until 6.30 p.m. If you happen to be passing at that time, please be generous as we shall be collecting for ‘The Shooting Star Hospice’. Afterwards the girls will have their Christmas Party in the Longhurst Room. This will be the last meeting before Christmas, but we are hoping that several of the Brownies will take part in the Toy Sunday Service on 5th December. All at 12th Epsom Brownies wish you all a very Happy Christmas and Peaceful New Year. |
each made a hand puppet and a stick puppet, coloured a jig-saw, made a glider. They all did very well and all were awarded their badge.
