Some Special Christmas Events
|
I would like to point out a few of the highlights of our Christmas Celebrations this month. First, on 1st December, On Friday 10th, Ewell have their Christmas Fair, with stalls and mince pies, and carols and entertainment. On Tuesday 14th, our WCC will be running their Coffee Morning, raising funds for this year’s children’s charity, the Shooting Star Hospice; and on Thursday 16th, Barbara Wood will be introducing us to yet another facet of Christmas that we never knew existed. On 17th, the COTE Carol Concert will be held at St Josph’s, with tickets priced at £6, £4 for children. On the 18th, Ewell are hosting the annual Advent Workshop followed by the Christingle Service. Then on 19th, at 17:30, Epsom and Ewell will be presenting our ‘Carols by Candlelight’, to be followed by refreshments, mulled wine, mince pies, etc. Christmas Eve Communion at 23:30 will be led by Revd. Mike Hensman at Ewell; Mike will also be leading the joint Christmas Day service at 10:00, again at Ewell. There are no services at either church on Boxing Day, so at last you can relax and indulge yourselves—with a clear conscience! |
Valerie and her Brownies, possibly with some Mums assisting, will be singing carols at the Derby Square between 17:30 and 18:30 in aid of the Shooting Star Hospice. Please support them if you are able. Then on 5th December there is the joint Toy Service, led by Revd. Barbara Pearson, closely followed by the Evening Fellowship on 6th December, who are enticing us in with ‘a Christmas Video’ and refreshments.
