As reported last week and at the Church Meeting, we have been advised that there is a small leak in the water pipe on our premises. An engineer visited us on Thursday, 27th May, with various bits of test equipment, and was met by George. After conducting various tests, the engineer confirmed that there was evidence of a small leak or leaks in the pipe between the pavement and where it enters the building in the region of the ladies’ toilets.
It is not a large leak, and is not serious enough to require any emergency action or the water to be turned off, but we are required to get this repaired in the fullness of time. We are now waiting for a quotation for the work, which would probably require excavation in the car park along the north side as far as the inspection covers. This may impede wheelchair users, but we’ll cross that bridge (!) when we come to it. Watch this space!
