News from George and Sheila
|
The move went without a hitch and the weather was so kind to us. We had a great weekend with Suzanne, Neil, Ben and our friends Phil and Sue, and managed to go out for a lovely steak and kidney pie meal at a local eating house. We have today finished unpacking most of the boxes and the house looks more like home. The neighbours are very friendly and so are the people we meet in the village (need to leave more time for the shopping!) The local "tip" is very civilized, there is someone there to take all the rubbish and sort it for you. As you can imagine, we have made quite a few trips there!! Last weekend was the Stone ‘Eat and Drink Festival’. There was a huge marquee in the park by the canal full of the most wonderful things to eat and drink. We went with the family for lunch and the hot pork and apple sauce baps were a meal on their own. Enough of my news; we hope all is well in Epsom and the Harvest Festival, etc., went well. Please thank everyone on our behalf for all the lovely cards and good wishes we have received. Once we have finished unpacking all the stationary I will get down to writing some thank-you letters. Love to you and everyone |
