News from Stone

Thank you for my Birthday cards, it was lovely to hear from you all. I had a good day which finished with a lovely meal with George, Suzanne and Neil at a very old Pub called The Hollybush Inn in the village of Salt a few miles from Stone. It is one of the oldest Pubs in England, and the food was great and there was plenty of it!!!!!

We celebrated Suzanne and Neil’s wedding on 12th March. It was a very happy day and now we are looking forward to becoming grandparents again in July.

On Monday we are off to a Ploughman’s Lunch arranged by the Church to raise funds for the Tsunami victims and in the evening George is being made a member of Stone Rotary Club. Never a dull moment!

Our garden is beginning to look very attractive as there are lots of bulbs appearing and starting to flower and everything is a surprise as we have not seen them before. It will be great to see the lighter evenings and good to think that winter is over and spring and summer are just around the corner.

Good wishes to all.
