Our Fellowship Groups
|
For the first time since the winter break, the Afternoon Fellowship met on 24th March and was treated to an illustrated talk by Alan. "Epsom - Then and Now" took us on a tour round our home town. Alan compared the old slides taken by his father, Ron, whom I remember with affection, with his own up-to-date photographs. This was fascinating for those of us who have lived here all our lives and equally so for comparative newcomers. There was a good attendance and those who were not able to be present missed a treat. I understand that as Alan recorded the talk, and the photos are all on his computer, it should be a comparatively painless operation to do a re-run for those that missed the first showing. On 28th April we shall be holding our ‘At Home’, to which we invite members from similar groups in neighbouring churches. Our speaker will be Eileen Lawlor. The Evening Fellowship also enjoyed a most interesting evening on 7th March when we learned from Kathleen about the Globe theatre and the programme of plays for this season. I am sure she has inspired us to want to go to a production there, and see for ourselves. [See Kathleen’s note on page //] We shall meet again on 4th April at 20:00, and look forward to meeting you all again. |
