Afternoon Fellowship

Unfortunately, Daphne Dawe is not at all well at the moment and she was very sorry not to be able to talk about her ‘reflections’ as published in the Afternoon Fellowship programme.

This left Barbara with the unenviable task of trying to find a replacement for the afternoon. She mentioned that she was looking for someone to ‘fill the gap’ when we met for Lunch Club, and Alan told her he may be able to get a group of brass players together for a short entertainment.

This he managed to do and so on Thursday afternoon we were delightfully entertained by seven musicians, calling themselves ‘Ad Hoc Brass’, playing their brass instruments and even entertaining us with some amusing stories. Our thanks to Alan and his friends for coming at such short notice, and we wish Daphne a speedy return to good health.
