12th Epsom Brownie Guide Pack
|
Unfortunately, for the first time since I have been Brown Owl, we had to cancel the carol singing before Christmas, due to the Three other Brownies came to the Toy Service and were very happy to take part in it. On Saturday, 9th January, I went with three Brownies and a Mum to the Pantomime, ‘Dick Whittington’, at the Epsom Playhouse. Brownies restarted on Wednesday, 12th January, and we were pleased to welcome 14 Brownies, who had great fun dressing up to perform pantomimes in their Sixes. We were also pleased to welcome two of our old Brownies who are now Guides. They will be helping us for the next few months as part of their service for their Duke of Edinburgh Award. On 19th January we devoted the evening to endangered species and the girls made Koala bookmarks, elephant cards and posters about the animals they particularly wanted saved. In preparation for the four enrolments on 26th January, the Brownies made comic strips of their version of the Brownie story on that evening. |
inclement weather. We still held our last meeting of the term on 1st December in the Longhurst Room for those that could make it. Three girls came and enjoyed a few refreshments, a video and some games. They received their Christmas presents and took those that they could to their friends, but I still had quite a few that I had to deliver.
