Lunch Club

Last month we visited the ‘William Bourne’ in Chessington Road, very— but not too—adjacent to the Bones Gate Stream. Although the Bones Gate pub has now been refurbished and renamed as above, it would probably take an Act of Parliament to change the name of the afore-said stream—so the Bones Gate Stream it will probably remain!

There have been a few problems of late with ordering in advance, so this time we reverted to the old style of ordering when we got there. It’s a better way to judge the efficiency of the kitchen, and the food comes out HOT! And we did well here, with some of our number keen to return to sample other dishes on the menu.

But not this month. We decided to go the the Woodman in Lower Ashtead, nice and local for Archie and Beryl. And to suit the group, the day was changed to Wednesday, 20th July. So, will all those intending to join us there at 12:30, please give your names to Alan, either this Sunday, or by ’phone or email before Tuesday, please. OK?
