12th Epsom Brownie Guide Pack
|
At the beginning of May the Brownies each planted some leek and marigold seeds. They had been looking after these ready to be included in the Gardeners’ badge which they completed at the end of May, when Anne Richardson came to our meeting to test them and to replenish the church flower troughs with the help of the girls. On Saturday, 7th May I went with ten Brownies to an adventure day on the theme of ‘Mary Poppins’ at the Roman Catholic Church and the girls had a very good time. On 11th May we had ‘Things that fly’ as our theme for the evening, and each Brownie made a paper glider; a polystyrene glider and a boomerang and afterwards they had fun making them fly. This year we are taking part in the Children with Leukaemia marathon and at one meeting the girls each completed an alphabet nature picture book for which they are being sponsored. |
