Good Friday - 'Procession of Witness'

This year, for the first time, congregations from the Ewell Churches joined in with the Procession of Witness on Good Friday morning. People met in the car park opposite the Fire Station and after a prayer, they set off in procession to walk into the town centre. There was then a moving service of hymns, readings and prayers with a cross as the focal point. Several shoppers joined in with the crowd in the beautiful sunshine. Afterwards everyone was invited to the Methodist Church Hall for coffee and hot cross buns.
