Lunch Club
|
The April Lunch Club had to be rearranged at the last minute due to a clash of dates, and so it was brought forward by a week. This also meant a change of the arranged venue as the Chessington Oak could not cope with the large number of people at such short notice. Therefore we went to the Barley Mow and after having changed the arrangements, only six of us were available to enjoy the meal there. For the May Lunch Club, we hope to go for a fourth time to ‘The Chessington Oak’ where we were due to go in April. We hope that more of our regulars who have been under the weather lately will be available to join us, and anyone else who enjoys good company whilst eating a nice lunch. The menus and the signing-in sheet will be out soon. We note that the ‘Bones Gate’ pub on Chessington Road has been renovated and renamed the ‘William Bourne’. They have a good menu, so perhaps we can visit them in the near future. Daphne, watch out for the Hogsmill! |
