12th Epsom Brownie Guide Pack
|
On 28th September the girls prepared for Grandparents’ Day by making chocolate truffles and cards for their grandparents. They also brought some non-perishable items to put in the Harvest boxes which they made up in their sixes, ready for the Harvest Festival. The Brownies were asked to parade at the Harvest Festival, but unfortunately only one girl was able to attend. We were very grateful to Holly, who pushed the trolley carrying the harvest boxes to the front of the church. After performing that task, Holly assisted Helen Thorne with her ‘Children’s Address’ and then went to make bread with the Junior Church leaders.
As it was World Animal Day on 4th October, our meeting on 5th was devoted to animals. Some of the Brownies shared stories about their animals and they each made a set of animal dominoes which they then played amongst themselves. The Brownies have been doing a lot of writing as they have been trying to gain the Writer’s badge. They were told to write a story that featured a tree and they have come up with some very interesting stories (one is below). They have also either written about they favourite person or produced a script for their favourite Television show. [See next article] We were very grateful to Anne Richardson who came to help us replenish the church flower troughs at our meeting before half-term.
