Remembrance

Remembrance plinth and poppy wreaths

November is the month of Remembrance. Remembrance Sunday is on 13th November, and elements of Remembrance will be incorporated into the Morning Service which will be taken by Revd. Donald Finnan, starting as normal at 10:30.

On Friday, 11th November, at a few minutes before 11:00 a.m. the Mayor and Councillors will as usual be attending the War Memorial tablet erected on the southern side of the Clock Tower. There will be a short service, and ‘Last Post’ and ‘Reveille’ will be sounded. This is a very public gathering which is very well attended. Be there if you can.
