The Harvest Lunch

We were very pleased to welcome visitors from both Ewell and Tolworth to Epsom on Sunday, 16th October, and we were treated to a very good service from Rev. Ron Talmey. It was also a rare occasion for the joint choirs to sing an anthem. After the service we were invited to the Harvest Lunch in Unity Hall where a buffet Ploughman’s lunch with baked potatoes was set up ready for everyone. Members from Ewell provided most of the desserts, and we were also treated to a preview of what we can expect from our new Minister, as Heather had brought along a delicious home-made dessert. Once we had finished eating we watched a film about ‘Smile Train’, the charity that Epsom U.R.C. has supported as their harvest project this year. We offer special thanks to Rosemary Holmes and Pamela Galliers who had prepared the buffet and ensured that the lunch was a great success. |
