Church Lighting

You may, or may not, have noticed that the delicacy of the operation of the church lighting has for some weeks been missing, and the lighting has been switched on and off from the main isolator in the Switch Room.

There was a failure in the touch-screen control panel at the rear of the church from which the lighting is controlled. A new touch-screen panel has been ordered and is due for delivery next week.

Unfortunately, the inevitable march of progress means that the new panel is not the same size as the original one, so someone (guess who?) will have to install the new mounting box and panel, and make good any previous damage to the woodwork!

So we hope that very soon we will have controllable lighting as before.

And, incidentally, we have had to pay out over £1400 for this luxury: 20% VAT, and the rest split about half and half for the panel, and an engineer’s time to reprogram the panel and commission the system!
