Dial 101 for your local Police

This is important information, so please read,
mark, learn and inwardly digest it!

We all know that in an emergency we call 999 to get direct to the Emergency Services, Police, Fire, Ambulance and Coastguard.

People may like to know that there is now a nation-wide number, 101, which will connect you to your local Police Station, wherever you are in the country, for non-emergency matters. I was informed about this during the car parking discussions – see elsewhere – and I thought it worth bringing to people’s attention.

It has been going since the beginning of September; I was told that there had been lots of publicity about it, but had to admit that this was the first I had heard about it.

So for advice or to report low-level crime and anti-social behaviour
