Players for the next few weeks: 2nd Oct Ruth Broder 9th Oct Ruth Broder 16th Oct Malcolm Saunders (Joint Service) 23rd Oct Ruth Broder 30th Oct TBA 6th Nov David Dibbs We have recently made contact, via a website about which Jeremy informed us, with two more organists who would like to come and play for us. Judith is doing an excellent liaison job for us, always ensuring that we are well supplied, and is currently seeing if the second new organist is able to play for us on 30th October. And I hope to tell you something about David Dibbs in our next issue. We would like to express our thanks to Ruth Broder who has been playing for us quite a lot during the past few months. Ruth has volunteered to play on 30th October (Plan B) if Plan A, above, fails. So thanks again, Ruth. And can we also thank Malcolm Saunders, Ewell’s organist, for coming over for joint services, and other ad-hoc times. We understand that he enjoys getting to grips with our pipe organ! And may we also take this opportunity to thank two people who, unfortunately, no longer feel able to perform for us as well as they would wish. I refer, of course, to our two Sheilas, Carpenter and Stredwick. These two ladies gave us sterling service for a long time, but failing health has forced a quiet retirement on them. We thank you both. |
