 Gwyneth waxes lyrical over a day on August!
The day we went to Hampton Court
The weather it was HOT!
Only four of us took part
As other friends could not
For various reasons, so we went
To Kingston on the bus.
As parking there is difficult-
It saved a lot of fuss
The sun beat down upon us
As we travelled on the boat.
We very much enjoyed the views
And peaceful time afloat.
We reached the grounds of Hampton Court
And sought a shady seat
Where we could sit and chatter
And have ice-cream to eat
The journey back to Kingston
on a different boat, was fine
With people out in motor boats
Or rowing in a line.
We're sorry for the members
Who missed this jolly time.
Perhaps next year you'll make it ?
